      The new outline first defines the phased objective of the ecological environmental protection industry: by 2025, the annual compound growth rate of revenue will not be less than 10%, and 50 large enterprise groups that systematically solve regional ecological problems, 100 specialized backbone enterprises with strong comprehensive service capabilities, and 1000 "specialized, special and new" small and medium-sized enterprises will be formed.

      As a carrier to promote high-quality industrial development, environmental protection enterprises will undoubtedly welcome the "east wind" of policies.

      In fact, with the deepening of the battle against pollution, China's ecological environmental protection industry continues to develop. The data shows that the total revenue of environmental governance in China will reach 1.95 trillion yuan in 2020, a significant increase compared with 960 billion yuan in 2015, and the compound annual growth rate will exceed 13%.

      At the same time, innovation has become an important driving force for the development of China's ecological environmental protection industry. The Report on the Development of China's Environmental Protection Industry (2021) shows that the average R&D expenditure of environmental protection enterprises will increase by 16.8% year on year in 2020, accounting for 3.2% of the total revenue, higher than that of industrial enterprises above designated size in the same period. Among them, environmental monitoring is the most obvious. The R&D expenditure represents 6.7% of the total revenue, and the average number of patents granted by related enterprises has increased to 4.8.
